[[listen to the radio|radio]]You turn on the radio. It is Easy listening. You gently drift off to sleep.
[[continue|static]]
You wake up suddenly because easy listening has been replaced by static noise. You look down at your watch. It's 11.45 am. The ticket office closes for lunch at 12 sharp!

[[go to the payment office|paymentoffice]]
You run up the first flight of stairs, by the second step you are walking and by the 3rd you are using the handrail.
You spot the [[payment office|paymentoffice]] at the bottom of the corridor[[try the door|door]]
[[ring the bell|bell]]The door is locked.
[[ring the bell|bell]]You ring the bell. You hear strange noises. A bloody hand thumps against the glass and scrapes downwards.
[[run away|runaway]]The stairs and elevator are blocked by drunk people covered in blood. You run down the corridor tyring to find a room which is open.
You find a room which is unlocked. You go in and lock the door behind you.
[[hide in the closet]] You run into the closet, close the door behind you and stand very still.
After 5 minutes you start to get bored, but are too scared to leave the closet. You turn on your keyring flashlight.

[[Sit up again|computer]]Dear Mayors of America,
The whole country is under attack from an unknown virus. The army and national guard is over-run. They are not coming to rescue you, they don't have enough resources left. Each Mayor is responisble for protecting their jurisdiction. To help, we're sending 5 police and 5 doctors to each town hall. The National guard is going to air drop some equipment to you. That is all they can do.
More information to follow
[[read the next email|email 2]]You had the night shifts, but the day times you stayed up and wandered around the convention and made a buddy on the stand of the new Dronecopter 3000. That beast has 10 rotors and can carry loads of 100kg each time! It has enough power to take a package across the city and drop if off, but then it needs to return to base to be recharged.
[[turn into the car park|carpark]]You have just slept for 24 hours straight after working all weekend as a security officer at the International Drone Convention.
[[turn right at the lights|driving 3]]There are no new emails.
You hear gunshots in the building.
[[hide under the desk|hide]]
[[hide behind the curtain|hide]]
[[open up solitaire|hide]]There's a knock on the door
"Mayor/Mayoress, are you in there?" It's your emergency response team"
[["I'm not the Mayor/Mayoress!"|not mayor]]
[["What took you so long!"|OK mayor]]You unlock the door for the team.
"Well, you sure look like the Mayor/Mayoress with that coat on. This is no time to shy away from your responsibilities. You're neighbourhood needs you!
You look down and see that you're wearing a big red coat.
A doctor and a police officer enter the room.
[["OK, update me on the situation"|update]]You unlock the door.
A doctor and a police officer walk in.
[["OK, update me on the situation"|update]]Doctor: Good afternoon, we are your emergency response team. Sorry we took so long, the city is in gridlock down there. It's not possible to move by car anymore, we had to walk.
[["Just two of you? I thought that there were 5 police officers and 5 doctors coming"|next]]Police Officer: They are downstairs, we were having a little trouble with some walkers in the area. Nothing to worry about. The doctors and Policer officers have special bite proof suits. They can't get infected.
[[Is there a lot of infected in the precinct?|numbers]]Doctor: Numbers are growing all the time, we are going to need to act fast.
[[But what can we do?|do?]]Doctor: Well, there is a very effective antidote
[[Some pills? An injection?|antidote]] Doctor: No it's a gas. It comes in 100kg containers and each container can cure the block it is in and one block next to it.
[[What happens if the virus spreads outside of my jurisdiction, to other parts of the city?|spread]]
Doctor: Only the doctors can administer the anti-dote. It requires a lot of special training.
[[Do you have enough to cure the whole precinct?|enough]]Doctor: We're waiting for a antidote production unit to be air-dropped. Once we have that working, we should be able to produce as much anti-dote as we need.
[[When will it arrive?|arrive]]Doctor: I was hoping that you could tell us that.
[[check your emails|check]][[You have 1 new message|new message]]The anti-dote production unit has been air-dopped at the hospital.
The 100,000 pairs of handcuffs have been dropped at the miltary base.
Good luck to you
[[You: Looks like the anti-dote is at the hospital, what are the handcuffs for?|handcuffs]]Police Officer: We can use the handcuffs to tie the infected to solid objects and stop the infection spreading to other blocks. Only Police Officers have the training to do this.
[[You: How does the virus spread?|You: Does it spread easily]]Police Officer; It depends on the wind direction, the wind can carry the infection to other blocks. You know how they call this place the windy city! That crazy wind keeps changing direction every 5 minutes. Sometimes you can get lucky though. If the wind blows an infected block to another infected block, the virus won't spread. How many handcuffs do we have?
[[You: We have 100,000 and they've been dropped at the miltary base|dropped]]Police Officer: That should be enough to handcuff the whole precinct if we have to. The problem is going to be moving the handcuffs and antidote to where they are needed in the city. The police officers and doctors can move one block per round on foot, but we can't carry the handcuffs or antidote as well.
[[Do we have any helicopters?|helicopters]]
Police Officer: We don't have any helicopters. They are being used to drop things to other parts of the city. Can you think of any other way to move this equipment?
[[hmmm|hmm]]You notice the shiny Iphone 10 sticking out of you top pocket. It has a new feature which finds the number of the person you want to call without you needing to type or say anything. You hold the phone to your head and the phone starts to ring.
[[Hi this is Dronecopter 300, Dave speaking|Dave]]You: Hi Dave, remember me from the Drone convention.
Dave: Sure thing, I would recognise that voice anywhere. What can I do for you?
You: Have you got any of those Dronecopter 3000's left?
[[Dave: I'll just go and check for you buddy|check2]]Dave: We've got 5 left.
[[I'll buy all of them|buy all]]Dave: All of them! Ok buddy you got it. Where do you want them delivered?
You: The city hall as quickly as possible.
Dave: OK I think I can make it over in 10 minutes.
[[OK, see you then|door opens]]Police Officer: You DO NOT want to let that happen. You need to contain it in your area and solve the problem. The other mayors are in contact by radio. If the virus spreads outside of your area, mayors from all of the surrounding jurisdictions will let some of their infected spread into your area.
[[Where will the infected arrive?|where arrive]]
The door opens and the other 4 doctors and other 4 police officers walk-in.
[[You: Nice of you to join us|join]]New Police Officer: We got a bit held up down there. We found some interesting stuff while we were hiding. This box of 2 way radios and 10 huge barriers outside. I think that we could block off one side of a grid square with one of those and nothing could get through.
[[You: Not even the infecetd?|Infected]]I don't think so. You're gonna need a helicopter to move them though, they must weigh 100 kg a piece.
[[You: don't you worry about that|don't worry]]
New Police Officer: "What are THOSE!?"
The Police Officer points towards the window.
[[Look towards the window|look window]]You slowly walk towards the window and see 5 dronecopters hovering outside, their metallic bodies shimmering in the early afternoon heat.
You slowly turn around to face your team.
You: Let's DO this...It depends on the coordinates of where the infected left the map. Your jurisdiction is split into a 10x10 grid labelled 1-10 on one axis and A-J on the other. If the virus leaves the map at E,10 for example, you will receive the infected in E,1, A,10 and J,10
